His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met in Paris with the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, and during the meeting they discussed strategic relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them, and develop aspects of joint cooperation in a number of fields.

His Highness and the French Foreign Minister discussed developments in the region, and a number of regional and international issues of common concern, including developments in the situation in Libya.

The two sides discussed developments in the emerging corona virus (Covid-19), the efforts of the two friendly countries to confront its repercussions, and the importance of supporting global efforts to reach a vaccine for the disease.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and John Yves Le Drian affirmed the friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries and their leadership, and the joint efforts to enhance security and stability in the region.

The two sides reviewed the peace treaty between the UAE and the State of Israel, and its important role in achieving peace and prosperity for the region.
