The Dubai Criminal Court has begun the trial of a visitor (Asian) who molested a four-year-old child in front of the child's father, inside one of the emirate's commercial centers, which is completely covered by surveillance cameras.
The child's father (an Asian nurse) said that he was accompanied by his son in the mall near the public seats in a corner of the center, and the accused came and told him “Your son is beautiful” several times, then grabbed the child and raised him under the pretext of playing with him, then shocked the father when the accused committed an act. It was extremely strange, without prior warning or justification. The father was astonished and cried, "What are you doing?", But the accused ran away.
He added that he informed the security guards of the incident, and the accused was arrested and a criminal report was recorded against him, pointing out that the accused appeared fully aware when he was speaking to him, and that one of the father's friends was present and saw the details of the incident.
For his part, the accused admitted in the police inference report and the investigations of the Public Prosecution that he committed this traumatic act, as stated in the report of the General Department of Criminal Evidence in Dubai Police, regarding examining the recordings of surveillance cameras covering the area of the incident, when the accused embraced the child several times, then showed him while With his scandalous behavior outside of public morals, he quickly left the place.
The Public Prosecution in Dubai directed the accused to committing a felony defrauding a child forcibly, and referred him to the Criminal Court in Dubai.
