An 18-year-old from the Empalot district in Toulouse was arrested Monday, at 3 a.m., after a failed burglary.

He came face to face with the owner of the premises who put him to flight before calling the police.

But it was not his first offense.

Investigators from the criminal brigade for the repression of property attacks had been looking for him since a robbery with violence committed in Empalot in mid-July.

Tried in immediate appearance

He is suspected of being the bogus buyer who made an appointment that day with an individual following an online classified ad for the sale of a motorcycle.

Eager to try the machine, the youngster climbed in the back.

Once the crew started, he promptly ejected the owner and sped off the bike.

Brought before the prosecution on Tuesday, the suspect was to be tried on Wednesday in immediate appearance before the criminal court.

For all of his work.
