President Moon Jae-in once again emphasized the importance of declaring the end of the Korean Peninsula and appealed for support from the international community through a video keynote speech at the UN General Assembly in the early morning of the 23rd.

President Moon also proposed a Northeast Asian quarantine and health cooperation body in which North Korea, China, Japan, and Mongolia participate, and expressed his intention to continue promoting cooperation with North Korea.

President Moon Jae-in, who diagnosed that peace on the Korean peninsula is incomplete and that the hope-filled change has ceased. Yet, he said that peace on the Korean peninsula will positively affect changes in the global order as well as in Northeast Asia.

his 2018 UN General Assembly speech, President Moon mentioned the declaration of an end to the war as a corresponding measure for North Korea's denuclearization.



However, with the US-North Korea relations as well as the inter-Korean relations tightly blocked, the declaration of an end to the war seems more like a proposal to revive dialogue with North Korea.



It is also interpreted that President Moon's term of office is in the second half, and the judgment that it could be the final proposal, considering the situation after the US presidential election in November.



President Moon also proposed a'Northeast Asia quarantine and health cooperation body' in which China, Japan, and Mongolia, including North Korea, participate in responding to disasters as well as Corona 19.
