is a hydrogen cell truck made by a company called Nikola, USA.

It received great attention under the nickname'Second Tesla', saying that it is a futuristic eco-friendly car that operates only with hydrogen cells without oil. After being listed on the US stock market three months ago, the stock price once exceeded $90 during the day, but recently, allegations were fraudulent. Inside, the stock price fell by a third.

There are many domestic investors who bought this overseas stock, and it is estimated that they suffered a loss of 34 billion won in one day.

This is New York, correspondent Kim Jong-won.

[Founder of Trevor Milton/Nicolas: (Electric car) The battery is great, but it can only travel 300 miles.

However, with a hydrogen battery, you can go 600 miles.]

Nikola, who appeared in the hydrogen electric vehicle market like Cinderella, was praised as the second Tesla and won investment from GM.

Even when Tesla's stock price plummeted more than 20% earlier this month, Nikola was in the spotlight, soaring more than 40%.

But the situation changed 180 degrees when a company called Hindenberg, which specializes in short selling shares, released a report that Nicola was a fraudulent company.

Nikola didn't have the technology or facilities for the production of hydrogen electric vehicles, and even the driving video of the Nikola hydrogen car was not able to come up with a broken explanation for Hindenberg's claim that it was manipulated, and the founder, Chairman Milton, suddenly resigned after 10 days of suspicion.

Compared to the peak three months ago, the stock price was cut in pieces by a third, and yesterday (the 21st) plunged more than 19% in one day.

It is estimated that only 34 billion won was incurred by Korean foreign stock investors, so-called Seohak Ant.

[Carl Bruner/Analyst: The more suspicion that Nikola doesn't really have the technology, the more things that are worth the company (like stocks) can be postponed.] While the

performance was over-packed, it wasn't completely fraudulent. There is also a claim.

The future car sector is a market with higher uncertainty than any other sector.

Therefore, experts say it is risky to make an investment decision based only on the short-term stock price.
