The U.S.-China leaders clashed over the responsibility for the COVID-19 pandemic through a video speech at the UN General Assembly today in local time.

When U.S. President Donald Trump called it a ``Chinese virus'' and called for China to take responsibility, Chinese President Xi Jinping refuted that although he did not directly mention the United States, the corona19 crisis should not be politicized.

The speeches of the two leaders were not in a face-to-face form as they were conducted as a video in the aftermath of Corona 19, but it was a scene reflecting the reality of the two countries, where conflicts have only escalated in all directions, such as economy, security, and human rights.

However, while President Trump continued the stance of a strong public policy, President Xi made a contrast by stating that the US-China conflict should be resolved through dialogue.

"We are fighting fiercely with the Chinese virus, an invisible enemy that has killed countless lives in 188 countries."

"In the early days of the virus outbreak, China blocked domestic travel while allowing foreign flights to infect the world," he said. "Even though they canceled domestic flights and locked citizens at home, they criticized my travel ban (measures) to their countries. "I pointed out.

"The United Nations must hold China accountable for their actions," and "We must hold China accountable for spreading this epidemic throughout the world, while pursuing a bright future."

In response, Xi gave a video speech and urged countries to stop politicization, saying that to overcome the Corona 19 crisis, countries should strengthen solidarity.

Although there was no further comment, it was regarded as a refutation of President Trump's theory of responsibility in China, which is evaluated as putting the Corona 19 issue ahead of the international community's attack on China and using anti-China sentiment in the US even in the presidential election.

In the course of introducing President Xi's video speech to the United Nations, China's ambassador to the United Nations Jang Jun mentioned that he was opposed to the ``political virus,'' resulting in an interpretation of President Trump's remarks about the ``Chinese virus''.

President Xi argued for international cooperation through multilateralism instead of unilateralism, and compared his opposition to globalization to an ostrich buried in the sand and Don Quixote running on a windmill.

This may be the target for President Trump, who advocated'American priority' and'Isolationism'.

The two leaders also showed differences in positions regarding the WHO status and role.
