22 September 2020Pasquale Zagaria, life sentence and brother of the Casalesi chieftain Michele, returns to prison.

The man was transferred this morning to the Opera prison in Milan, the structure identified by the Dap as a suitable place for detention.

Zagaria had been released in April by the supervisory judge of Sassari, the same who then raised the question of constitutional legitimacy against the Bonafede decree.

Zagaria, who has been ill for some time, had been placed under house arrest in the home of a family member in Brescia for reasons related to the Coronavirus emergency: the hospital in Sassari where he followed treatment for the disease, was no longer able to provide him with treatment necessary.

The surveillance court of Sassari, however, had set a period of five months for the measure of house arrest, which expired yesterday.

The court of Brescia, to which the Sardinian colleagues had turned over the file for competence, therefore considered the needs ceased and brought the boss back to prison.
