In his interview in Ondacero, the Supreme Prosecutor's lieutenant stated that he had not taken the study of the complaints to the Board of Prosecutors because there were prosecutors "ideologically contaminated."
And he stated that two of them had come to his office to tell him that his professional prestige was at stake if he did not promote the investigation.
"I can't go to war with that troop," Navajas said in the interview.
The intervention of number two of the Public Ministry was harshly criticized by the majority Association of Prosecutors (AF) and by the Professional and Independent Association of Prosecutors (Apif).
The Progressive Union of Prosecutors (UPF), to which Delgado is linked, did not want to comment on an incident that has shocked the prosecutorial career.
