The man has denied the suspicions of abuse and says that he only tried to calm the patient down, but that the user grabbed his clothes so he fell.
Other staff at the accommodation who witnessed the incident, however, say that the man, after the first incident, attacked the patient again and again grabbed the patient's neck.
The district court writes in the judgment that they take the incident seriously because the man is staff and the user is disabled.
The man is sentenced to a suspended sentence and a daily fine of a total of SEK 2,000.
He must also pay SEK 5,000 in damages.
