Saudi Arabia: Permission to perform Umrah and visit gradually from inside the Kingdom

Today, the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the issuance of approval to perform the Umrah and visit gradually from inside the Kingdom, starting from next October 4, while taking the necessary health precautions.

According to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA", the first stage of approval is to allow the performance of Umrah for citizens and residents from inside the Kingdom, starting on Sunday 4 October, at a rate of 30% (6 thousand pilgrims / day) of the capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures of the Grand Mosque .

The second phase is to allow the performance of Umrah, visitation and prayers for citizens and residents from inside the Kingdom, starting from Sunday, October 18, at a rate of 75% (15,000 pilgrims / day, 40,000 worshipers / day) of the capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures of the Grand Mosque, and a rate of 75 Also% of the absorptive capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures for the honorable kindergarten in the Prophet's Mosque.

The third phase will be allowed to perform Umrah, visit and prayers for citizens and residents from inside and outside the Kingdom, starting from Sunday 1 November until the official announcement of the end of the Corona pandemic or the 100% disappearance of the risk:

• 60 thousand worshipers / day

The fourth stage will also allow the performance of Umrah, visitation and prayers for citizens and residents from inside and outside the Kingdom, at 100% of the natural capacity of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, when the competent authority decides to eliminate the risks of the Corona pandemic.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, the entry of pilgrims, worshipers and visitors will be regulated through the application of "Umrah," which will be launched by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, with the aim of enforcing health standards and controls approved by the Ministry of Health and the competent authorities.

The Ministry of Interior called on pilgrims, worshipers and visitors to adhere to preventive measures, and to apply health instructions and requirements, such as wearing the muzzle, maintaining a safe distance, and not touching.
