New indictments for the murder, by mistake, of a Corsican pensioner

Four men were presented on Monday before an examining magistrate in Marseille with a view to being indicted for "criminal association", in the investigation into the murder in August 2018 of a retiree who was probably killed by mistake in Corsica, we learned from the prosecution.

In this murder, four men have already been indicted in December 2019, including three for "organized gang murder" by a judge of the Specialized Interregional Court of Marseille (Jirs), competent in matters of serious organized crime and in charge of this case.

Last week, "a second wave of arrests" was made by the regional directorate of the judicial police of Ajaccio allowing "the placement in custody of seven men suspected of being in connection with the supply of logistical means to principal perpetrators of this assassination ”, indicated Monday the prosecutor of the Republic of Marseilles, Dominique Laurens.

Among these seven people, four were presented on Monday with a view to being "indicted for the heads of criminal associations with a view to the commission of a crime of intentional homicide with premeditation in an organized gang, criminal association in sight of crimes and misdemeanors in this case concealment in an organized band of theft, destruction of property by fire in an organized band ”, specifies the prosecutor.

The magistrate also indicated that "in one of these men, it was discovered in incidental seizure six rifles and numerous ammunition", giving rise to prosecution.
