The Associated Press said that the United States has deployed a company of 20 pilots from what is known as the US Space Force at Al Udeid military base in Qatar, in its first deployment outside the United States.

Twenty Air Force soldiers joined the Space Force during a swearing-in ceremony earlier this month at Al Udeid.

And the agency reported that a number of others will join the "primary space operators" unit, and they will operate satellites, follow the maneuvers of those described as the enemy, and try to avoid conflicts in space.

The director of the Space Force at Al Udeid, Colonel Tod Benson, told the agency that there are very aggressive countries - he refused to name them - preparing to expand the conflict into space, adding that the United States should have the ability to compete and defend its national interests.
