Bengt Löfling, a left-wing party member, lives in a rental building in Morgongåva.

He has been a leisure politician for 40 years and sat on the municipal council for almost as long.

But in December 2019, he threw in the towel prematurely when he contracted Parkinson's disease.

- Then I could not bear it.

Everything takes time and you have to read in and so on, he says.

But he does not think it is something that has affected the democratic process.

- As long as there are people on the list, there are no problems.

It has nothing to do with democracy.

The problem is if there will be empty seats that happened a few years ago, with New Democracy, says Bengt Löfling (V).

One political act he is proud of, in addition to stopping the number of privatizations, is the construction of the nursing home Liljebacken in Tärnsjö.

In the clip above, you hear Bengt tell about something he fought for.
