The investigators do not understand.

Monday, around 2:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man was violently hit by a car on the RN24 connecting Rennes to Lorient.

The accident occurred near Bréal-sous-Montfort.

The victim, struck by a motorist who could not do anything to avoid him, was seriously injured.

Monday evening, his vital prognosis was engaged.

His state of health has stabilized, say the gendarmes.

An investigation has been opened to try to determine why a pedestrian crossed the dual carriageway at this location.
