PSOE-M and Podemos, together with other parties and organizations, have called a demonstration for next Sunday to protest against the "erratic, reckless, insensitive and incapable" management of the Covid pandemic of the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso the same day that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, met with her.

Sources of the PSOE-M have explained that despite the fact that the notice of convocation speaks of a demonstration, the protest mode is still not closed

-it is being considered, among other things, that it be a human chain-

, which in any case will have to have the approval of the Government Delegation, directed precisely by the secretary general of the party in Madrid, José Manuel Franco, and that will comply with all security measures

"Since the start of the state of alarm in March, the behavior of the regional government of the Partido Popular y Ciudadanos, headed by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has been erratic, reckless, insensitive and incapable of taking the appropriate decisions to face the health situation caused by COVID-19. Preceding a rapid de-escalation, under the pretext of economic recovery, it has intensified its particular partisan dispute with the Government of Spain ", says the statement, signed by the Association for the Defense of Public Health, CCOO Madrid, FRAVM, IU, Más Madrid, Podemos, PSOE-M and UGT Madrid.

In this writing, the unions, associations and parties Unions, associations and parties of the left call for a "rigorous" plan based on "scientific criteria" to face the pandemic in "the entire region" of Madrid and the "immediate" incorporation of measures, based on a series of requirements.

The signatories ask that Madrid incorporate "the 2,000 trackers recommended by experts", the "reinforcement" of the Health Centers "for their full operation", housing guarantees for the confinement of cases and contacts, as well as the allocation of means for " guarantee "compliance with the general measures of Public Health.

Specifically, they urgently demand the equipment of trackers, laboratory personnel and material necessary to reduce waiting times for PCR results;

staff for Primary Care centers that will not be reduced in the coming years, or the creation of a scientific committee

that "pilots and controls" all decisions in relation to the pandemic.

They also see it necessary to strengthen public transport so as not to exceed the occupation of one person per square meter;

intensify the inspection of residences and ensure their medicalization and transfer to hospitals when necessary, or the reinforcement of

teaching

staff

, as well as nursing staff and coordination with health centers in schools.

Likewise, they ask that the priority use of public transport and cycling mobility be guaranteed through the reservation of the necessary road;

the compatibility of the Minimum Insertion Income (RMI) with the Minimum Living Income, and the reinforcement of Social Services to eliminate situations of vulnerability.

They express their "rejection" of the "restrictive" measures adopted by the Community, which they consider "useless because of their clear segregation tint" and

demand "fair and non-discriminatory treatment" for the residents of 37 areas in the south of the region.

The inhabitants of these areas where mobility is limited from today feel "stigmatized, singled out and falsely accused of irresponsibility in their social and family relationships," the letter says.
