Monika Lövgren, group leader of the Sweden Democrats in Knivsta, wants to introduce a language test that will apply to new hires in the municipality.

The test must then apply to those who are recruited to school and care.

- It is important for both employees, children and care recipients that you understand and are understood, says Monika Lövgren (SD).

Could this mean that people who are far from the labor market today end up even further away from working?

- The care recipient's needs must come first.

If you are not able to speak the Swedish language based on the level required, then you need to learn more, says Monika Lövgren (SD).

The Social Welfare Committee's chairwoman Kerstin Eskhult (C) thinks that the proposal regarding language tests is unnecessary and believes that the current system works.

- You can not language test only parts of those who are employed in the municipality.

But if a language test is to be introduced, it must apply to everyone, otherwise it is discriminatory, says Kestin Eskhult (C)
