After Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa officially signed an extension of his contract, he immediately entered the list of the highest paid coaches in the Premier League, and finished sixth in it.
And after a club match against Liverpool that ended with the latter's 4-3 victory in the first game of the season, Bielsa yesterday led his team for their first victory over Fulham 4-3 in the English championship, to collect their first points in the Premier League, after 16 years of absence from the competition.
After Bielsa signed an extension of his contract for an additional year, Leeds raised his annual salary from about 7 million euros to about 9.
Bielsa is far behind Spaniard Giuseppe Guardiola, the Manchester City coach, who is paid around 22 million euros.
