Roman Primula, one of the country's leading epidemiologists, has been appointed the new head of the Czech Ministry of Health. He will replace the retired Adam Voytekh in this post. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrei Babis.
"Roman Primula has been appointed as the new Minister of Health," RIA Novosti quoted Babis as saying.
It is emphasized that the candidacy of the new minister must be approved by President Milos Zeman.
Earlier, Primula announced the second wave of COVID-19 in the republic.
