The trial in Linköping District Court regarding the double murder on Åsgatan in 2004 ended today.


During the morning, two childhood friends and the brother of the accused 37-year-old were heard.

The friends testified about how Nyqvist changed in high school and started drinking alcohol.

One of the friends also told that Nyqvist at a young age talked about killing a child.


"Everything fell into place" The



last to be heard by the court was the accused's brother.

He described the 37-year-old as kind and caring, while at the same time he was withdrawn and enjoyed being at home the best.


- I do not think I heard my brother say a bad word about anyone, the brother said in court.



At the age of 30, the accused was diagnosed with a neuropsychiatric disability.


- When he was diagnosed, many pieces fell into place.

Before that, he could be perceived as a withdrawn and odd person who had difficulty with social contacts.


He described that his brother had difficulty showing his own feelings and understanding the feelings of others.
