Every day of the week, Jérôme Lacroix brings you the best of initiatives that are changing the world, on the web and in the regions!

This Monday, he returns to the initiative of Frank Bruno, a former soldier who had a leg amputated.

Since his accident, he has become an adventurer.

Thanks to his association "Bout de vie", he offers disabled young people the opportunity to surpass themselves through survival courses so that their daily life then seems simpler to them.

Every morning, Jérôme Lacroix tells us about the exceptional initiatives of ordinary citizens.

This Monday, a great human adventure.

Disabilities ?

What handicap?

This is what Frank Bruno, 56, could tell you if you tell him about his right leg which is no longer there.

Frank has had an amputee since he was 20.

He was in the military and a fighter plane ran over his leg.

Since this event 30 years ago, Frank has been an adventurer.

He traveled from Kilimanjaro, to the deepest seabeds and even the wilderness of Greenland.

This scam, he wanted to pass it on to other amputees, like him, especially young people.

For that he created an association.

It is called "Bout de vie".

Among the projects proposed, the most impressive are internships in hostile environments.

Frank Bruno takes groups of young amputees, aged 15 to 30, from Figari to Greenland.

The association is Corsican, based in Pianottoli-Caldarello in Southern Corsica.

So he takes them towards a small village in West Greenland, Oqaatsut, a village of 50 inhabitants with desert plateaus, dark skies, fog and -10 degrees.

How are these internships going?

What are these young people doing?

All !

10 days of bivouac in the tundra with assembly of the tipi, search for food thanks to the gathering or the fishing.

"These young people must get out of their comfort zone", recently explained Frank Bruno in Corse Matin.

Obviously, after that, when they return to France, everyday life seems sweet to them.

13 years now that he leaves every year with his young people and his most beautiful memory is that of Lara.

Like him, she has one leg amputated and has faced an icy mountain to climb.

Last year, she had given up.

Not this time, despite the hail.

Like the others, she understood that nothing was impossible for her.
