• Restrictions: These are the measures that affect 37 basic health areas

  • Covid These are the 37 basic health areas that will suffer restrictions

In the offices of the Palacio de Cibeles, the plans of the six districts with restrictions of the city had already begun to be studied pending the meeting this Sunday of the Territorial Plan of Civil Protection (Platercam).

Yesterday, the City Council began to draw up the lines of action for the beginning of the week with the new restrictions on mobility approved by the Community of Madrid of a police device with more than 200 agents and 60 random controls.

The mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, chaired yesterday a meeting with heads of the municipal security and emergency agencies -

Samur, Firefighters, Samur Social, Madrid Salud and Municipal Police

- to outline the plan to follow in Ciudad Lineal, Villaverde, Puente from Vallecas, Usera, Villa de Vallecas and Carabanchel.

A plan that will revolve around four axes:

patrols at the foot of the street, information work without ignoring the punitive, control of quarantines and police reinforcement in areas of agglomeration

.

This is confirmed to EL MUNDO by municipal sources that point out that the work will be "complicated" due to the division of basic health zones but that it "will be carried out."

In this device, the Municipal Police will carry the weight.

If in the state of alarm, vehicle control was essential, in this phase street patrols will be the preferred formula and will increase in areas of concentration, with

special emphasis on schools and markets

, where there will be a greater presence of agents to compliance with the new regulations.

Police sources affirm that the main function of the agents will be "informative" in the first 48 hours, as confirmed this Sunday by the Minister of the Interior, Enrique López, but that it will be punished "when necessary."

Fines that, according to regional regulations,

would be 600 euros or more depending on the offense

.

Within them, the Municipal Police will focus on ensuring that citizens comply with quarantines in cases of contagion.

The Directorate of the Municipal Police has sent an order to send to Usera, Carabanchel and Villaverde

reinforcement agents from other parts of the capital.

Specifically, it has been decided to send a patrol with two components to these districts from the Central South, Central North, Salamanca, Retiro, Tetuán and Chamberí Unit.

These units will attend the morning shift (7.30 am) and the afternoon shift (3.15 pm) to the districts affected by the restrictions agreed in these population centers corresponding to various basic health areas.

The Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, yesterday, in Cope, detailed that 1,500 infected or close contacts did not comply with the quarantine in the Community of Madrid in the last three days, according to tracking data.

Some data that they consider "important" to access from the Municipal Police to find out who breaches the regulations and be "more efficient."

But the work of the municipal corporation will not focus only on six districts.

Almeida and the vice mayor, Begoña Villacís, met yesterday with the

councilors of the 21 districts to establish a coordination table

.

"Madrid is not compartmentalized, all the districts are concerned and have to be alert," remarked the mayor.

Now, in Cibeles, they are already preparing to launch the device established this Sunday at the Platercam meeting in which the Government Delegation will collaborate.

Yesterday, the Madrid Minister of Health had already advanced that

"dissuasive" and "alternative" controls

would be carried

out, which today the Security delegate, Inmaculada Sanz, has encrypted at 60, and "supporting documents" would be required

to enter the areas with restrictions.

"The goal is for people to stay at home for as long as possible and go out exclusively for essential matters," said Ruiz Escudero.

For his part, the Government delegate, José Manuel Franco, in an interview in Europa Press, focused on

a possible "relaxation" of citizenship "in the month of June"

for the premature arrival of this second wave of Covid.
