The conference was jointly organized by the Teacher Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University and Taichung University of Education and set up the main venue. Shanxi Normal University, Huzhou Teachers College, Xingyi Normal University for Nationalities and other teacher education institutions on both sides of the strait were co-organized.
The conference is divided into three forms: keynote speech, cloud topic dialogue, and cloud sub-forum.
At the main venue of Beijing Normal University, Professor Sang Guoyuan of the Teacher Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University presided over the meeting.
Zhu Xudong, director of the Teacher Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University, and Hou Zhentang, vice president of Taichung University of Education, respectively delivered opening speeches.
Zhu Xudong said that a sudden outbreak of new crown pneumonia has caused great challenges to the education community on both sides of the strait.
However, colleagues in the education circles on both sides of the Taiwan Strait did not shrink, but actively explored educational reforms and practical innovations in the "Internet+" era, and jointly explored new forms of online teacher education and new initiatives for online teaching.
With the help of the high-end platform of this conference, experts and scholars on both sides of the strait can learn from each other, exchange and cooperate, and jointly promote new developments in teacher education in the post-epidemic era.
The conference fully discussed the core issues of teachers' core literacy, online education and teaching innovation, and online teacher education system construction under the new normal of "Internet +" education and teaching.

The Teacher Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University was established in November 2004. It is the only national key research institution engaged in teacher education research on the mainland. The organizer said that this time, in cooperation with the Taichung University of Education, the cross-strait teacher education forum was jointly held to promote the in-depth integration of information technology and teacher education, and to explore new measures for cross-strait friendly teacher college cooperation, to promote future school education and teaching reforms, and to innovate teachers.
