Carina Andersson had two so-called ten attacks in 2009 and has since struggled to try to return to a normal life.

She experienced it as something of a breakthrough when she started on the neurological line, which is an education for people with an acquired brain injury or neurological disease.

- I got tools to be able to start working in everyday life again, she says.

Borrowed six-figure amount

Carina Andersson, who lives in Piilijärvi in Kiruna municipality, has commuted to Piteå for two semesters.

She took out a bank loan to afford travel and accommodation at the accommodation at Framnäs Folk High School.

She estimates that she has been able to borrow around SEK 100,000.

She had previously been disappointed with the region, which did not cover the costs of students in the county who had a long way to go to education and could not commute by day.

Shocking message

During the autumn, the news came that the line would be closed in its current form due to savings requirements.

For Carina Andersson, the message was shocking.

- Now I'm back on square one, she says.
