According to reports, on the 6th local time, a group of members of the Australian Antarctic Expedition came across an emperor penguin who followed them all the way while walking from the Mawson Research Station to the nearby Auster Rookery.

It can be seen from the video taken by Matt Williams, the leader of the Mawson Research Station, that this emperor penguin followed the expedition team with abdominal skating, and stood up after sliding.

When Williams said to it "Keep up. Brother!", the emperor penguin responded with a loud cry, as if chatting with someone, "very cute".

The Australian Antarctic Bureau, which is in charge of the Mawson Research Station, relayed Williams’ statement, stating that when expedition team members passed the periphery of the main habitat of emperor penguins, some of the emperor penguins began to approach the team members. Find me, even if I am moving, follow me all the way."

The Australian Antarctic Bureau posted that expeditioners followed strict guidelines when approaching wild animals. During the breeding and moulting period, they should keep a distance of at least 50 meters from them.

However, “Sometimes the emperor penguin just wants to go along,” the post added.
