He lost two after sudden torrents in southern France

On Sunday, two people went missing in southern France after flash floods triggered by storms that caused torrential rains in areas of the Seven Hills north of Montpellier.

Emergency services mobilized helicopters and 700 people to help the population affected by the torrents, which also led to the closure of roads and cut off water and electricity to some areas.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen went to the stricken area and said that about 50 of the flood waters had been saved and about 420 others had been provided with urgent shelter.
