In Sunday's Novus survey, it appears that Jonas Sjöstedt (V) is the party leader that voters have the most confidence in.

But in a month, it's time for Nooshi Dadgostar to take over the role.

- I am of course humble, if I am elected, that our former party leader was so popular.

It is only good for our party, says Dadgostar in SVT Agenda.

"Do not negotiate with SD"

During the last term of office, the V, together with the Christian Democrats and the Moderates, has succeeded in stopping several government proposals.

But it would not have succeeded if it were not for the fact that they also received support from SD.

However, Dadgostar does not think that the support is synonymous with the two parties having cooperated in any way.

- We present the proposals that are ours.

We do not negotiate with SD, they vote exactly as they want.

But it is important for us that we pursue the political proposals that our voters expect, she says.

"Not adapted to the proposals"

The collaboration has been criticized.

Rossana Dinamarca, former member of parliament for the Left Party, has said, among other things, that V has helped to legitimize the Sweden Democrats as a natural part of the bloc with M and KD.

Dadgostar does not agree.

- I do not think it is that way.

It becomes quite dangerous and bad if you get the feeling that we are being silenced by other parties and do not have the courage to present our own proposals, she says.

She continues:

- But we have not adapted the proposals.

The Left Party's party congress starts on 31 October.

Then a new party leader and a new party board will be elected.
