Since yesterday, Saturday, September 19, the Democrats of the US Senate have been holding a series of meetings to prepare for the battle ahead.

And they promise to do everything to block the appointment of a new Supreme Court judge before the presidential election.

 Mitch McConnell

[the Repulican Senate Majority Leader]

believes the battle is already over,

” warns Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, “

it's only just beginning.

 "

Democrats know that the outcome of a vote is not yet guaranteed for Republicans.

Two of them have already officially expressed their opposition.

Others, who are campaigning for re-election, fear it will cost them their mandate.

Boycott certain sessions

?

It is therefore first on this side that the Democrats will strike: to try to convince the recalcitrant Republicans to vote with them.

They also promise to use all the means at their disposal to drag out the hearings.

This Sunday morning, September 20, former President Bill Clinton, who had appointed

Ruth Bader Ginsburg

, even advised Democrats to boycott certain sessions.

And if that ever doesn't work out and the Republicans come out in force, the Democrats warn: if they manage to take control of the Senate in the November election and if Joe Biden is elected, they will reform the Supreme Court to increase the number of judges and thus appoint others.

The Democrats' campaign has already received record donations.

Almost $ 31 million was collected in 24 hours.
