19 September 2020 A new ordinance signed by the governor Luca Zaia provides that in the Veneto region spectators can attend sporting events, a maximum of 1,000 in the outdoor facilities and 700 in the indoor ones and always where it is possible to pre-assign seats to sit.

But just after the signing of the order comes the news that the Bentegodi stadium in Verona will not be open to the public this evening for the first of the championship between Hellas and Roma and that - instead - only invitations will be provided.

Confirmation to Ansa from sources of the Gialloblù club.

The motivation lies in the too short time frame, compared to the order issued this morning, too late to organize a possible sale of tickets and internal assistance with stewards in the stands.

The device, however, remains in force from today until next October 3 provides for fans "the obligation to occupy for the entire duration of the event exclusively the seats specifically assigned, with a ban on standing and moving seats. ensuring between each seated spectator a minimum lateral and longitudinal distance of at least one meter ".

Spectators must wear masks for the duration of the event, if indoors;

outdoors, the mask must be worn from the entrance until reaching the place and every time you leave, including the moment of outflow.

The ordinance also indicates "the use of digital technologies" to automate the organization of entrances, avoid "foreseeable gatherings" and to allow the registration of spectators;

imposes gates for public access to avoid crowds when checking the temperature and tickets.

Prohibit the entry of banners and flags;

arranges the outflow of spectators in groups at the end of the event;

a steward service must be activated with the task of assisting the public and checking compliance with the measures.

The order was issued "pending the guidelines of state competence relating to national and international championships".

In light of the Dpcm of last August 7, extended until October 8, "the conditions exist - the text reads - to authorize ... the holding of the matches of the national championships in the presence of the public in compliance with the provisions specified in the device" .
