The Commander in Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Major General Hossein Salami, threatened that any American aggression would be faced by striking the American bases in the region.

He said that Iran has plans to occupy some US bases in the region, and it will do so in any war that might be imposed on it.

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the US move to restore international sanctions on Iran is just propaganda with no real effect.

Zarif indicated that Washington had failed to re-impose UN sanctions, and called on countries of the world to confront American bullying, as he put it.

He added that it is unlikely that the US sanctions will affect the purchase of weapons from China and Russia.

The Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed that his country will face Washington's illegal moves, and that America bears the repercussions of stopping Iranian ships.

Tehran had announced that it had fulfilled the demands of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Authority, Ali Akbar Salehi, explained that the agency informed his country that it would not demand to inspect new sites, after inspecting the two sites that the agency was demanding to inspect them.
