France: ceremony in Paris in tribute to victims of terrorism

In France, while the trial of the January 2015 attacks began a fortnight ago, a gathering of the French Association of Victims of Terrorism was organized late Saturday afternoon in Paris.

31 years, to the day, after the attack on UTA's DC 10 in Niger, which killed 170 people.

, it is also an opportunity to recall how important justice is for all families and loved ones.

The goal is to always say that a terrorist crime will never go unpunished.

Even years later, we will never give up.

We systematically hope in each attack that one day those responsible, whoever they are, -

senior officials or small officials

, will be tried and condemned 

”, underlines Guillaume Denoix de Saint Marc, director of the French Association of Victims terrorism (AFVT).

Some cases remain more complex than others to elucidate.

This is of course the case with that of

Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon

, our colleagues from RFI, assassinated in 2013 in Kidal in Mali.

The General Assembly of their support association took place a few days ago and Guillaume Denoix de Saint Marc wants to be optimistic: “

I believe that we are in a phase of clarification and at the same time of progress.

It's pretty positive.
