According to preliminary data, on the evening of September 8, a 45-year-old VAZ-21140 driver drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Scania truck.
"As a result of the accident, the driver of the VAZ-21140 car and four passengers: a 21-year-old and a 35-year-old man, as well as an unidentified woman and a man from their injuries died at the scene of the accident," the department said.
The police are checking on the fact of the accident.
Earlier in Volgograd there was an accident involving a truck, two people died, three more, including a baby, were injured.
