The official website of the self-employment platform of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation revealed that 159 business entities (governmental and private) have registered with the platform to request the conclusion of “work deals” with independent and skilled national cadres, pointing out that the total number of citizens registered with the platform, since Launched last March, it reached 3808 citizens, including 758 experienced professionals ready to work.

While employers presented 46 projects on the platform with the aim of contracting with national cadres, including preparing promotional videos, designing leaflets that include information on business entities, translating audio clips or printed brochures, audio commentary on pictorial materials, and marketing services.

In detail, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation called on national cadres with skills and independent work to register with the national platform for self-employment and obtain the necessary license from the ministry, stressing that the interactive platform allows them to conclude business deals with government, semi-government and private agencies to increase income with work and tasks Vitality.

The ministry explained in an instructional video that it broadcast on its official accounts on social media platforms, that self-employment is created from traditional work and entrepreneurship, pointing out that “self-employment” is that a person works for himself and not for the benefit of a specific entity or institution, and it includes three main types, which are entrepreneurship. Business, independent work, and small, medium and micro enterprises.

She mentioned that “independent work” is an unconventional pattern in which an individual achieves income by working independently and flexibly, through which he provides a skilled service on a temporary basis to implement projects or temporary work tasks, unlike “traditional work” for which the employee receives a monthly wage, and vice versa Also "entrepreneurs" who have ongoing commercial, professional and employment commitments.

She indicated that the self-employment platform connects independent and skilled national cadres on the one hand, and government and private agencies on the other hand, in order to employ national energies in exchange for achieving income for them through vital and unconventional work.

According to the ministry, the self-employment platform targets citizens with national skills, over the age of 21, to work for the government and private sectors, by providing them with the opportunity to provide services to the concerned authorities for a fee, in six areas, including administrative and professional services, marketing services Design services, translation, writing and content development services, digital services, and photography and montage services.

She explained that a set of incentives has been allocated to persuade government agencies to deal with independent national cadres, by implementing the recommendations of the Council of Ministers regarding directing 10% of government purchases to each entity, to citizens and companies owned by them.

The Ministry has set three conditions for registration, the first of which is that the person wishing to register must be a citizen of the country, be at least 21 years old, and possess a skill or talent in the field of business.

Ensuring financial rights

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation said: “To ensure the financial rights of those registered in the platform, the full amount is reserved from the service requesting agency, in the electronic wallet before providing the service under the supervision of the platform’s management, then payment is made to those with national skills (independent) upon the completion of the project and the approval of the entity, as well. The percentage of project completion is taken into consideration, as a percentage of the amount is deducted in the event of non-completion in the required manner in accordance with the terms and conditions policy.
