In all of these four towns in the Nantes metropolitan area, wearing a mask will become compulsory from this Saturday morning, 8 a.m.

The prefect of Loire-Atlantique Didier Martin has just taken a decree to this effect and thus extended the list where the cities of Nantes, Saint-Herblain, Bouguenais, Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire and certain districts of Saint-Nazaire already appeared. .

"I call on everyone, young people but not only, to show the greatest vigilance, by respecting barrier gestures, by wearing the mask at least where it is compulsory, by promoting telework when possible and finally by limiting family or friendly gatherings, ”writes the prefect.

Since Saturday, Loire-Atlantique has been one of the departments classified in the “red” zone, and in “high level of vulnerability”.

The latest figures show that the incidence rate has exceeded 60 per 100,000 cases in the four cities concerned.

It even goes up to 91 at Orvault.

Vigilance in bars and restaurants

"A relaxation in some establishments has also been observed in recent days even though the health situation in the department is developing unfavorably", also indicates the prefect, asking managers of bars and restaurants to strictly comply with barrier measures.

As a reminder, each table cannot exceed ten guests and a distance of one meter must be respected between the tables.

However, no timetable restrictions have been decided.
