According to TASS, the official representative of the structure, Jens Larke, said that the number of security incidents in August more than halved compared to July - from 533 to 251.

“The ceasefire that entered into force on July 27 has contributed to the longest period of relative silence in eastern Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict in 2014,” he said.

According to him, the number of civilian casualties decreased from 13 in July to five in August.

At the same time, Larke noted that “so far there are no changes in terms of humanitarian access, which could lead to an increase in humanitarian work,” linking this with the restrictions on coronavirus.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kiev is doing everything to make the ceasefire in Donbass permanent.
