The British government is considering imposing a new lockdown

The British government is considering imposing a general lockdown, again, across the country, due to the increase in Coronavirus infections, according to a report published yesterday.

The "Financial Times" newspaper said that scientific advisers recommended the government to impose a two-week lockdown during the mid-term break in October.

When asked about the newspaper’s article, Health Minister Matt Hancock said that the national lockdown was the "last line of defense", and that the government was focusing on domestic measures first.

The minister said, in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), that the number of injuries has not only increased, but also the number of patients in hospitals.
