The Director of the Public Health Department in Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Shaima Al-Tunaiji, said that the department's inspectors violated 268 cafes, restaurants and kitchens, in violation of the preventive and precautionary measures to combat the Coronavirus and health standards, during the past six months, from March until the end of last August.

She added that the department's inspectors carried out 937 inspection visits to kitchens and restaurants, which resulted in the seizure of 250 food establishments that violated the preventive and sanitary measures, including failure to meet health requirements related to the design and sequential path of food, failure to adhere to the cleanliness of the facilities and personal hygiene, failure to store food at the required temperature, and failure Adherence to the requirements for storing and preserving foodstuffs, non-compliance with issuing the required permits and certificates (such as: health cards, vehicle approval permits), failure to adhere to the maintenance of facilities on time, in addition to the failure of the facility to meet health requirements regarding general cleanliness in the facility and personal hygiene, especially Precautionary measures for the Coronavirus, such as not leaving spacing spaces between tables, allowing overcrowding inside the facility, and not wearing masks and gloves.

She indicated that the municipality imposed preventive measures and measures on food establishments and cafes to provide hookah to limit the spread of Corona virus among workers and customers, including not allowing entry of any employee or customer showing symptoms of colds, coughs, and respiratory diseases, in addition to conducting daily temperature checks for workers and visitors, Examination of workers to ensure that they are not infected with the Coronavirus, while committing to directing the workers, in the event of symptoms of any respiratory infection, to go to the nearest health center and not to start work.
