It was in June this year that three men met at the train station in Västervik.

One of them had been tricked into putting the other two in his place.

The man has told the police that immediately when he entered the station he received two fist blows from a man in his 50s and a man in his 30s.

He was pushed down between two benches and received several hard blows that injured his eye.

When he fell to the ground, the two men kicked and trampled on his head.

Wrapped in a garbage bag

He has also stated in interrogation that he was asked to undress naked and that the younger man cut him with a knife straight across the thigh.

Before the two perpetrators left the station, they took his clothes, money, telephone and his bank card with them.

The man found a garbage bag which he put on.

He was then helped by two women to call the police.

Knife with blood on it

The two men were arrested by the police later that evening, they had several of the man's belongings and the younger man could point out where he had thrown the knife.

It contained blood from the abused man.

The district court finds that the man's story appears credible and that it agrees with what the witnesses have told.

Imprisonment

The older man of the two has admitted that he hit him with three blows but nothing more.

The younger man has admitted that he elbowed him but that it was nothing more than that.

He has not been able to explain how the blood ended up on the knife.

The two men are convicted of robbery.

The younger man is also convicted of aggravated theft and unlawful possession.

The penalty is two years 'imprisonment and 2.5 years' imprisonment, respectively.
