A reporter asked whether the new crown epidemic is spreading globally. What impact will it have on China's UN peacekeeping operations?

Have there been any infections in overseas troops?

Luo Wei introduced that after the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia, we have mainly adopted the following four measures in terms of epidemic prevention and control:

One is to establish an epidemic response mechanism.

We have maintained close communication with the United Nations and peacekeeping missions, established an emergency response mechanism for epidemic reporting of overseas peacekeeping forces, and closely tracked the epidemic prevention and control situation and the health of personnel stationed in the country and mission area.

The second is to strictly strengthen personnel control.

We strengthened the self-protection awareness and capabilities of overseas peacekeeping forces, strictly performed personal protection, and organized epidemic prevention and control drills; strictly audited personnel entering and exiting the camp, set up temperature detection points at the camp door, and measured body temperature at the entrance and exit of the camp, and also used a dedicated place to receive Outsiders, strictly control all kinds of gathering activities.

The third is to actively do a good job of raising supplies and medical treatment.

According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control and fulfillment of tasks, raise supplementary masks, protective clothing, disinfectant and other materials and related drugs; standardize the consultation process during the epidemic, do a good job in self-protection of medical staff, and strengthen remote medical support.

The fourth is to make strict preparations before dispatch and quarantine after returning home.

Before dispatch, strictly implement the requirements of 15 days of centralized quarantine medical observation, strengthen professional training in epidemic prevention and control, equip personal protective equipment and necessary epidemic prevention equipment, carry out nucleic acid testing of all employees, and conduct disinfection and protection of marine and air transport materials.

After all the peacekeepers return to their country, they will strictly follow the requirements to organize quarantine.

"At present, Chinese overseas peacekeepers are in a healthy state." Major General Luo Wei said.
