Mayor of London announced the possible introduction of new restrictions due to COVID-19

"It is increasingly likely that London will soon need additional measures to slow the spread of the virus," the mayor said in a statement.

According to him, the measures that have already been introduced in other regions of the country will be considered.

He added that a sharp increase in the number of cases should not be allowed.

Earlier in the UK, 2,919 new cases of coronavirus were detected, for a total of 358,138.
