In Russia, the activities of a criminal group for the sale of tickets were stopped

This was announced by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.

“The activities of a criminal group that sold tickets to theaters and sports events at inflated prices in several regions of Russia was suppressed,” she said. 

The investigators opened a case under Part 4 of Art.

180 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Illegal use of means of individualization of goods").

According to the investigation, from 2018 to 2020, the members of the criminal group created more than 300 twin sites of cultural institutions and sports organizations, through which the attackers sold tickets worth more than 1 billion rubles.

In June, the organizers of a network of underground casinos were detained in the Kirov region.
