China News Service, September 18 (Central News Agency) reported that on the 16th local time, US Democratic presidential candidate Biden warned that the United Kingdom must abide by the Northern Ireland peace agreement when leaving the European Union, otherwise the United Kingdom cannot reach a trade agreement with the United States.

According to reports, Biden said on social media: "We cannot allow the Belfast Agreement, which brings peace to Northern Ireland, to be damaged by Brexit."

He added: "Whether the United States and the United Kingdom can reach any trade agreement must depend on (the United Kingdom) complying with this agreement and avoiding (Northern Ireland) hard border conditions."

On January 29, local time, the European Parliament approved the "Brexit" agreement.

The British government announced the "Internal Market Act" on September 9th, which involves provisions in Northern Ireland and is considered to override the Brexit agreement.

According to the bill, if its terms are inconsistent with the withdrawal agreement in the Brexit agreement or the content of special arrangements related to Northern Ireland, the terms of the bill shall prevail.

On September 14, the British House of Commons passed the bill on second reading.

Next, the Parliament will debate this "internal market bill" for four days.

However, some analysis pointed out that Johnson’s proposal may lead to a "hard border" between Northern Ireland and Ireland, thereby undermining the Belfast Agreement that guarantees the peace process in Northern Ireland.

The EU has also expressed strong opposition to this.

The President of the European Council Michelle also warned that Britain’s international credibility is in great danger and London must fulfill its obligations and implement a Brexit agreement.

The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Pelosi also stated that if Britain violates international agreements, there is "no chance" for the Anglo-US trade agreement to be passed by the U.S. Congress.
