With the inauguration of the Kan Cabinet, the government decided on the appointment of parliamentary secretaries at today's cabinet meeting.

A total of 27 people have been selected as parliamentary secretaries, 24 from the Liberal Democratic Party and 3 from the Komeito Party.

Of these, three are women.

Mr. Shohei Okashita, Mr. Yoshiaki Wada, and Mr. Takeru Yoshikawa are Parliamentary Secretaries of the Cabinet Office.

Mr. Yoshikawa also serves as Parliamentary Secretary for Reconstruction.

Mr. Tom Tanigawa, Mr. Yasushi Furukawa, and Mr. Takuma Miyaji are MIC.

Mr. Kimi Onoda, a member of the House of Councilors, is a Parliamentary Secretary of Justice.

Mr. Konosuke Kokuba, Mr. Hayai Suzuki, and Mr. Satoshi Nakanishi, a member of the House of Councilors, are Parliamentary Vice-Ministers for Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Toshimitsu Funahashi and Mr. Eitaichiro, a member of the House of Councilors, are Parliamentary Vice-Ministers of Finance.

MEXT Parliamentary Vice-Minister, Yoko Wanibuchi and Hidehiro Mitani of the Komeito Party.

Mr. Mitani concurrently serves as Parliamentary Secretary for the Cabinet Office and Parliamentary Secretary for Reconstruction.

Mr. Kazuhide Okuma and Mr. Takashi Koyari, a member of the House of Councilors, are Parliamentary Vice-Ministers for Health, Labor and Welfare.

Mr. Michitaka Ikeda, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Mr. Seishi Kumano, a member of the House of Councilors of the Komeito Party.

Mr. Koichi Munekiyo and Mr. Kei Sato, a member of the House of Councilors, are Parliamentary Vice-Ministers for Economy, Trade and Industry.

Mr. Sosei will serve as Parliamentary Secretary of the Cabinet Office, and Mr. Sato will serve concurrently as Parliamentary Secretary of the Cabinet Office and Parliamentary Secretary for Reconstruction.

Mr. Shigeki Kobayashi, Mr. Kentaro Asahi, Mr. Jiro Hatoyama, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Mr. Hatoyama also serves as Parliamentary Secretary of the Cabinet Office.

Mr. Masaru Miyazaki and Mr. Noboru Kamitani, members of the House of Councilors of the Komeito Party, are Parliamentary Secretaries for the Environment.

Mr. Kamiya also serves as Parliamentary Secretary of the Cabinet Office.

Mr. Hiroyuki Ohnishi and Mr. Rui Matsukawa, a member of the House of Councilors, are Parliamentary Vice-Ministers for Defense.

Mr. Matsukawa also serves as Parliamentary Secretary of the Cabinet Office.

The above 27 people have been appointed as Parliamentary Secretaries.
