Inauguration of the goat is one of Gävle municipality's largest annual events and according to the municipality, the inauguration attracts up to 12,000 visitors.
But due to the prevailing corona situation in society, one now has to adapt the event a bit.
So this year, the inauguration will be more like a TV show than anything else.
- As the situation is right now, we can not hold the event as usual.
That is why it will be a digital broadcast, and this is actually something we have done from the stage in previous years as well, says Maria Wallberg, the goat's spokesperson at the municipality.
Not everything is clear
Exactly what the show will look like and go to is not yet decided but is under development.
SVT: But isn't there a risk that there will still be a lot of people in place when the event is filmed or that people will get there anyway?
- We will not encourage people to come to the place at the inauguration, instead you will get to watch the show digitally, says Maria Wallberg.
