At the beginning of July, a 45-year-old man from Uppsala was sentenced to five years in prison for, among other things, six cases of rape.

Both he and the prosecutor then appealed the verdict to the Court of Appeal and on Thursday the Court of Appeal's verdict came.

When the man was prosecuted in the district court, there were a total of ten cases of rape against seven women, 19 cases of abusive photography against 17 women, two cases of purchase of sexual services, and one case of child pornography offenses.

The majority of the rapes took place in connection with the man dating the women.

Five years in prison

The district court acquitted the man on several charges but sentenced him to five years in prison for six cases of rape, two cases of buying sex and child pornography offenses. The Court of Appeal now upholds the verdict from the district court where the man was sentenced to five years in prison.
