17 September 2020A good first for Milan.

The official debut of the season, in the second qualifying round of the Europa League, ends with a placid 2-0 in Dublin at Shamrock Rovers.

The Irish did not constitute an appreciable obstacle on the Rossoneri's path towards the group stage.

Pioli fielded the first official AC Milan of the season with 4-2-3-1: Central defense cage with Kjaer, Castillejo, Calhanoglu and Saelemaekers behind Ibrahimovic.

Tonali and Diaz on the bench, will debut in the last minutes.

Rossoneri masters of the game, the Irish indulge in counterattacks.

On one of these Greene engages Donnarumma with an insidious low shot.

Ibrahimovic takes care of putting the game on the right track: Calhanoglu's assist and right at the near post.

Immediate opportunity for doubling, with Castillejo who is closed by the defense in trouble.

Milan want the second goal to avoid risks.

At 53 'Calhanoglu surprises everyone with an overhead kick, a ball hitting the crossbar.

The Turk makes up for it in the 67th minute: Saelemaekers touches back on the edge of the area, a first-time flat at the edge of the pole.

The race can run smoothly towards the end, but there is room for Donnarumma.

The goalkeeper tames Greene's low shot in two stages.
