India

marks another record leap in daily coronavirus infections, with 97,895 cases in the past 24 hours.

This was announced today by the Indian Ministry of Health.

With over 5.1 million total cases, India thus becomes the second most affected country in the world by the pandemic behind the United States, followed by Brazil.



The Indian Federal Ministry of Health reported that 1,132 people died of Covid-19 in one day, bringing the total number of victims of the disease in the Asian country to 83,200 and 4,025,080 people recovered after contracting the infection.
