Sweden’s Armand Duplantis jumped the pole vault to a new outdoor result of 615 on the outdoor tracks on Thursday night in Rome.

The previous world record was 614 jumped by Sergei Bubka in 1994.

The 20-year-old Swedish star won the Rome race by far, with runner-up Ben Broeders and runner-up Ernest John Obiena scoring 580.

Duplantis ’indoor track record is 618, which he jumped last February.
