US President Donald Trump reiterated his saying that Saudi Arabia will eventually join the normalization agreements with Israel, and that this impression was made to him during his telephone conversations with King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

Trump added that other countries want to join the agreement, noting that he had spoken with two leaders of these countries.

The US President stressed that the Palestinians would come to the negotiating table at the end of the day, adding that some believed that the agreement should be with the Palestinians first, but this would not have happened.

He stressed that he had reached an agreement that no one expected because he adopted a different position in the negotiation, saying that not a single point of blood was spilled to reach this agreement.

For his part, the head of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad) Yossi Cohen said that he does not rule out that a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia will be reached during the coming period.

In response to a question by the Israeli Channel 12 about whether it is possible to return to the White House to sign a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia during the current term of President Donald Trump, Cohen said that he "believes that this is possible and that he expects it to happen."

In previous statements, Cohen indicated that other Arab countries in the region would join the normalization agreements with Israel.

On Tuesday, the UAE and Bahrain signed two agreements for normalization with Israel, an event that US President Donald Trump described as "historic", despite the widespread Palestinian rejection and condemnation of him officially and publicly.

As for Saudi Arabia, it does not have public relations with Israel, as its Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said on August 20 that "his country will not undertake normalization with Israel like the Emirates unless a peace agreement is reached between the Israelis and the Palestinians."

No peace without the Palestinians

On the other hand, the Russian Foreign Ministry affirmed that the Palestinian problem has not lost its intensity despite the signing of Israel and some Arab countries agreements to normalize relations between them.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that "it is a mistake to believe that achieving stability in the Middle East will be possible without a just settlement of the Palestinian problem."

She added that Russia, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council and the international Quartet, stems from the importance of reaching a comprehensive and just solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, based on international legitimacy and relevant UN resolutions as well as the Arab initiative.

For his part, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi renewed his country's position on the Palestinian issue, noting that Pakistan supports the two-state solution and the Palestinians' right to self-determination as stated in United Nations resolutions.

He added in a tweet on his Twitter account that Pakistan calls for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in accordance with international agreements.

🇵🇰 reaffirms stand on #Palestine of 2 state solution as enshrined in @UN resolutions.

Palestinian's right to self determination is inalienable & we renew call for estab of independent state of Palestine on basis of internationally agreed parameters w / Al-Quds Al-Sharif as capital

And the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had confirmed a few days ago in an interview with a local satellite channel that the Palestinians were wronged, deprived of their rights and their lands usurped, and therefore there is no point in recognizing Israel in light of the Palestinians' refusal to do so.

In turn, the Pakistani Islamic Group criticized Bahrain and the UAE signing agreements to normalize relations with Israel, describing the move as a betrayal of the Islamic Ummah and the Palestinians.

"The agreements with Israel are inconsistent with the principles of Islam, and according to the fatwa of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, normalization with Israel is prohibited and wrong," the leader of the Pakistani Islamic Group, Siraj Al-Haq, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Nobel Prize

In a related context, Paolo Grimuldi, an Italian member of parliament for the anti-immigrant League party, nominated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the Nobel Peace Prize, following the signing of the two normalization agreements with the UAE and Bahrain.

Grimoldi said on Twitter that he hoped Netanyahu would share the award with US President Donald Trump, who was nominated by a right-wing Norwegian lawmaker last week for the award.

I presented the candidacy of @net Asian for the #NobelPeacePrize.

Why?

1) Pacification with UAE

2) Pacification with Bahrain

3) Dialogue with KSA & opening of Saudi airspace to Israeli aircraft producing debates on mutual recognition.Historic!

For his part, former Israeli Communications Minister Ayoub Kara, who belongs to the Likud party led by Netanyahu, said in a tweet yesterday that an organization headed by him had nominated "Netanyahu, Trump and the leaders of the UAE and Bahrain for the Nobel Peace Prize."

Norwegian Representative Christian Tebring had nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2021, citing Trump's role in brokering an agreement on normalizing relations between the UAE and Israel.

And the same deputy had previously nominated, with another deputy Trump, for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 for his exceptional rapprochement with North Korea.

Trump complained previously that his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize was not taken seriously enough, expressing his sense of bitterness to grant it to his predecessor, Barack Obama, at the beginning of the latter's term in 2009.

"They gave it to Obama. He himself didn't know why he got it. He was there for 15 seconds and won the Nobel Prize," Trump said last year, adding, "Maybe I will never get it."
