The rocket is new!

my country's newly developed commercial medium-sized liquid launch vehicle debuts

Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai, September 16 (Reporter Zhang Jiansong) The commercial medium-sized liquid carrier rocket developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute made its debut at the 22nd China International Industry Fair and attracted widespread attention.

According to reports, the newly developed commercial medium-sized liquid carrier rocket has a total length of about 59 meters, a take-off thrust of about 500 tons, and a take-off weight of about 430 tons.

Both the first and second stages use non-toxic and non-polluting liquid oxygen kerosene propellant, and the fairing can adapt to different diameters ranging from 3.35 meters to 5 meters.

The launch vehicle is based on the successful development of a new generation of launch vehicles in my country, fully inherits mature technology, adopts modular, combined, and serialized design, and bundles and combines different numbers of general-purpose boosters to form different segments suitable for commercial launch The rocket series in the market can achieve mission coverage with different low, medium and high orbits and different load requirements, and adapt to the major launch sites in my country's inland and coastal areas.

By adopting more than a dozen advanced technologies that have been applied for the first time in China, the launch vehicle has achieved structural weight reduction, efficiency improvement and design optimization. It has the characteristics of "high carrying efficiency, good economy, independent intelligence, and simple testing and launching".

At the same time, by adopting new technologies such as containment and release, "smart" health diagnosis system, and online trajectory planning, the launch mission can be more secure and reliable.

It is reported that the newly developed commercial medium-sized liquid rocket is planned to fly for the first time during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

The rocket is mainly oriented to the domestic and foreign commercial satellite and payload launch markets, providing more economical, efficient, and convenient launch service support, forming industry-driven benefits.
