In his opinion, this problem can be solved by tightening the rules for the sale of alcoholic beverages on New Year's days.
“I ask you, together with the regional authorities, to consider the possibility of limiting the time for the sale of alcoholic beverages on New Year's holidays to four hours a day (from 14:00 to 18:00).
Such a measure will help to reduce the total number of alcohol poisoning, deaths and crimes due to excessive alcohol consumption in this period, ”- stated in the text of the appeal.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Ministry of Health, Oleg Salagay, advocated a ban on the sale of strong alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age.
The State Duma also supported this idea.
